Eco Imagination: Giving Voice to Innoaqua’s Innovation

Innoaqua - Eco Imagination Role

The European project Innoaqua is rethinking aquaculture by integrating fish and algae in innovative systems, developing new processing technologies, and creating sustainable products for food, feed, and beyond. Its ambition is clear: to demonstrate that aquaculture can be circular, environmentally responsible, and socially accepted. Within this ambitious framework, each partner plays a unique role, and among them, Eco Imagination stands out as the partner responsible for ensuring that the science and innovation generated by Innoaqua are not only developed but also understood, shared, and embraced by society.

Eco Imagination is a non-profit association based in France, dedicated to communication, research, and the development of innovations and technologies that protect environmental, social, and cultural heritage. With more than ten years of experience in communication, the association brings together a multidisciplinary team with backgrounds in sustainability, business, and engineering, united by a commitment to protecting the planet’s limited resources.

Through events, campaigns, and networking, Eco Imagination raises awareness of the technological challenges humanity faces and the solutions that can improve the health of the planet. This experience makes the association a natural fit for Innoaqua, where communication is not an accessory but a pillar of transformation.

In the project, Eco Imagination leads Task 6.1: Communication, Dissemination and Outreach Strategy. Its mission is to design, implement, and update the Communication and Dissemination Plan, a living document that defines how the project’s results are shared and sets the direction for all outreach activities. From the project website and social media presence to newsletters, press releases, and participation in international events, the plan ensures that communication is both creative and accountable.

Eco Imagination plays a pivotal role within Innoaqua. By giving visibility and coherence to the project’s results, the association ensures that knowledge generated within the consortium contributes to dialogue across sectors and supports real adoption. Its work secures the longterm legacy of Innoaqua and advances the transition toward a more sustainable future for aquaculture.
