The INNOAQUA project will be represented at Alimentaria 2026, one of Europe’s leading international trade fairs for the food, beverage, and gastronomy industries. The event will take place from 23–26 March 2026 at the Gran Via venue in Barcelona, Spain.
Alimentaria is a global meeting point for food sector professionals, bringing together companies, researchers, innovators, and policy stakeholders to explore the latest trends shaping the future of the food industry. With thousands of exhibitors and visitors from across the world, the event provides a unique platform for knowledge exchange, innovation, and business development.
During the fair, INNOAQUA partner Algemy will showcase the project at its company stand, presenting the project’s vision and innovative approaches for integrating algae into sustainable aquaculture and food applications.
The INNOAQUA project, funded by the European Union, aims to advance sustainable aquaculture by promoting the integrated use of algae in food production systems. By combining ecological, circular, and digital approaches, the project supports the development of high-value algae-based food solutions while contributing to a more resilient and diversified aquaculture sector in Europe.
Visitors attending Alimentaria 2026 will have the opportunity to learn more about INNOAQUA’s work, including its research activities, technological innovations, and its contribution to the development of sustainable food systems.
In addition to the exhibition stand, Algemy will also present its experience with the INNOAQUA project during an informative session organised by Catalonia Trade & Investment (ACCIÓ), part of the Government of Catalonia. The session will focus on European funding opportunities for food companies and will highlight how participation in EU research projects can support innovation and international collaboration in the food sector.
The session will take place on 26 March 2026 from 13:00 to 14:00 at the Catalonia Pavilion, within the Alimentaria Fair.
If you are attending Alimentaria 2026, we invite you to visit Algemy’s stand and discover how the INNOAQUA project is helping shape the future of sustainable aquaculture and algae-based food innovation.
