Innoaqua - Agrokomplex 2025

From 3–7 September 2025, INNOAQUA project partner PEDAL Consulting participated in the 50th edition of Agrokomplex in Nitra, Slovakia, welcoming more than 92.000 participants – one of the country’s most important international agricultural and food exhibitions. Organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of the Slovak Republic together with Agrokomplex NÁRODNÉ VÝSTAVISKO, the fair gathered more than 500 exhibitors and thousands of visitors to explore the future of farming, food systems, and innovation.

The 2025 edition celebrated its 50th anniversary, featuring large-scale exhibitions of livestock, the latest in agricultural machinery, food tastings, and interactive demonstrations of farming practices and innovations.

At Pavilion M2, Stand 9, PEDAL Consulting showcased a wide portfolio of European projects that are reshaping agriculture, food, and energy systems, including:

  • INNOAQUA – advancing sustainable aquaculture through algae-based food solutions and circular concepts
  • CARINA – new oilseed crops carinata & camelina
  • RURALITIES – connecting rural Africa and Europe
  • FOODCoST – true cost of food
  • ONE EARTH – circular solutions from animal by-products
  • ROSETTA – reducing food waste
  • SOIL2POWER – energy directly from the soil
  • ALFA – biogas solutions for farms
  • SKILLBILL – education on renewable energy

This multi-project showcase illustrated how European collaboration is driving innovation in agriculture, energy, and food systems — with INNOAQUA highlighting the crucial role of algae and sustainable aquaculture for future food security.

Visitors to the PEDAL booth had the chance to learn more about INNOAQUA’s innovative approach to aquaculture, as well as engage in discussions on climate change, sustainable crops, agricultural machinery, and digital farming solutions.
