Organised as a collaborative cluster initiative, Aquaconnect brings together several EU-funded aquaculture projects to share innovative solutions and knowledge.

This 3-hour event offers a unique opportunity to learn about breakthroughs in circularity, biomass applications, breeding, disease detection, prevention, and treatment in aquaculture. By combining scientific excellence with practical insights, Aquaconnect aims to foster collaboration and accelerate the uptake of sustainable innovations in the sector.

Aquaculture is booming across the Asia-Pacific region, and Singapore is once again at its centre. From 2 to 5 June 2026, the World Aquaculture Society returns to Singapore for its flagship annual conference, gathering producers, researchers, and technology providers from around the world under the theme “High Yield Production Through Nutrition, Health, Genetics and Resources.”
On 26 May 2026, the INNOAQUA project successfully hosted its Workshop on Seaweed and Fish Integrated Multi-Trophic Aquaculture (IMTA), bringing together a diverse group of stakeholders from across the aquaculture and blue biotechnology sectors. The online event was co-organised by project partners A4F – Algae for Future, SEA EIGHT, and INESC TEC, and aimed to foster discussion on innovative pathways towards more sustainable aquaculture systems in Europe.
