The INNOAQUA project held its 5th Bi-Annual Meeting on 5–6 November 2025. The consortium gathered to review progress, share experiences, and showcase advances in the development of innovative algae-based foods and solutions that contribute to a more sustainable and diversified aquaculture industry in Europe.

EXAQUA WORKSHOP IN ROMANIA
The INNOAQUA project participated in the EXAQUA Workshop Session 1 – “Innovation and inspiration for algae aquaculture,” held on 30 October 2025 in Constanța, Romania. The event gathered leading experts, researchers, and industry stakeholders from across Europe and the Black Sea region to discuss pioneering research and innovative solutions shaping the future of algae aquaculture.

CONXEMAR 2025
Innovation in aquaculture was one of the central themes of Conxemar 2025, the international seafood fair held in Vigo, Spain. Held annually, Conxemar is one of Europe’s most important international seafood exhibitions. This major event once again brought together industry leaders, researchers, and policymakers to exchange knowledge and explore the future of the seafood sector.

AQUACULTURE EUROPE 2025
The INNOAQUA project, represented by project coordinator NORCE Norwegian Research Centre, participated in the prestigious Aquaculture Europe 2025 conference, held in Valencia, Spain, from September 22 to 25, 2025. The event gathered more than 3,000 participants from across the globe, including researchers, industry leaders, policymakers, and students, to discuss the future of aquaculture in Europe and beyond.
