What role will algae play in the future of sustainable aquaculture? Researchers, innovators and industry professionals will come together in Bergen, Norway, on 14–15 October 2026 to explore exactly that question at the Nordic Algae Symposium 2026, co-organised by NORCE Research, INNOAQUA and ALGAESOL.
As interest in algae-based solutions continues to grow, the symposium will showcase the latest advances in algae physiology, biotechnology and circular bioeconomy applications, highlighting their potential to support more resource-efficient aquaculture systems.
Bringing together experts from academia and industry, the event will explore how new discoveries can be translated into practical applications, from algae cultivation and nutrient recovery to biorefinery concepts and algae-based products. For the INNOAQUA community, it offers an opportunity to discover emerging innovations and connect with stakeholders helping shape the future of sustainable aquaculture
