INNOAQUA at World Aquaculture 2025 in India

Innoaqua - World Aquaculture India 2025

The INNOAQUA project was represented at World Aquaculture 2025, held from 10–13 November in Hyderabad, India. As one of the world’s largest gatherings dedicated to aquaculture innovation, the event brought together thousands of stakeholders from across Asia and beyond, offering an exceptional opportunity to raise visibility for INNOAQUA and its vision for a more sustainable future.

World Aquaculture India 2025 provided a strategic setting to highlight the project’s mission at a time when aquaculture is rapidly expanding across the Asian-Pacific region. Hyderabad (an emerging hub for freshwater fish farming, shrimp production, and sustainable aquaculture) served as the perfect backdrop for meaningful exchanges with industry leaders, researchers, policymakers, and entrepreneurs.

During the event, INNOAQUA gained attention for its pioneering work on:

  • Innovative approaches for the integrated use of algae in sustainable aquaculture
  • High-value food applications derived from algae-based solutions
  • Demonstration of environmentally responsible and circular aquaculture practices
  • Digital tools and ecological approaches to support the future of land-based aquaculture

These pillars form the foundation of INNOAQUA’s mission to advance a sustainable and diversified EU in-land aquaculture sector.
